His style reflects a deep appreciation for comic book illustration, blending dynamic storytelling with vivid creativity. He pursues his craft with passion and dedication, striving to continuously learn and create captivating characters and stories.
Andrea Wilson - Illustrator
Andrea Wilson is an illustrator and tattoo artist based in Kingston, NY. Primarily working in cut paper collage, her work focuses on nature and animals. She's an FIT graduate and a frequent participant of local and regional art shows. An aspiring children's illustrator, she loves folk art and storybooks for inspiration.

Aurora Brush - Publisher
Cosmic Dog House Press is a community-focused, independent publisher specializing in risograph printing, screen printing, zines, bookmaking, and more! We prioritize uplifting local creators and collectives in the Hudson Valley through the printing of independent works, collaborative projects, and periodicals. As an anti-capitalist press, we believe in providing accessible printing for underserved individuals and community needs. At the intersection of magic and revolution, we center liberation movements, playful projects, manifestations of dreams, resources for revolution, and tangible forms of shareable joy.
Cayetano Valenzuela - Comic book artist
Cayetano Valenzuela is a Chicano artist and illustrator. Born in Houston Texas, Cayetano owns and operates The Black Rabbit Studio, (illustration and lettering studio) with his wife and two kids in Upstate NY.
Charles Fetherolf - Comic book artist
Charles Fetherolf is a comic artist and illustrator based in New Paltz, NY. His work has appeared in Heavy Metal magazine, the Ignatz award-winning Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream, and Dark Horse’s Once Upon a Time Machine, among many others, and was featured most recently at a 2024 solo exhibition at Valentina Gallery in New Paltz.
Chelsea Stingel - Illustrator
Chelsea Stingel is a New York based illustrator and and surface designer, specializing in all things dreamy and fantastical. She graduated from SUNY Ulster with an AS in Fine Arts and has a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts.
Chris Miskiewicz - Comic book writer
Chris Miskiewicz is a graphic novelist and award nominated writer of the science-fiction western “This is Where We Fall,” the biographies “Grateful Dead Origins," and "Elvis: The Graphic Novel," as well as the award-winning series, "Thomas Alsop." His work has been recognized with two "best non-fiction graphic novel," one "best writer," and one "best graphic novel of the year" Ringo Award Nominations and is the winner of Denmark's esteemed Claus Deleuran Award for “Best Graphic Novel.” - As an actor Chris has appeared on CBS's "Bull," HBO's "Bored to Death," and USA Networks’ "White Collar.”
Chris O’Neal - Comic creator & Educator
Chris O'Neal was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He works in a range of media, from comics and painting to poster and website design. Chris lives and works in Kingston, New York and is the Programs & Communications Manager for the Midtown Kingston Arts District (MKAD).
Connie Kwok - Illustrator
Connie Kwok is a queer Chinese American illustrator & animator living in NYC. He attended and graduated from FIT's illustration program. Connie loves drawing animals and is fascinated with nostalgia and storytelling. He enjoys all things experimental and aims to incorporate more experimental multimedia approaches in their art.
Dana Variano - Zine Maker / Artist
Dana Variano (they/Nightcrawlerⓧ), is a queer & nonbinary pen and ink artist. A communications strategist by day and community organizer by night, Dana uses art to build connections and explore their emotions. Much of their artwork is a direct response to the frustration, loneliness, and complex dis/connection of the modern world. Dana uses visual data tools like charts, graphs, and diagrams in non-traditional ways to distill the relationship between their emotions, anxieties, and dreams. Dana lives in Poughkeepsie, NY with their cat Rigatoni.

Dean Haspiel - Cartoonist & Self publisher
Emmy and Ringo Award-winning cartoonist Dean Haspiel is best known for creating Billy Dogma, and The Red Hook. Collaborating with Harvey Pekar and Jonathan Ames, and illustrating for HBO's "Bored to Death." His published work includes writing and drawing for Marvel, DC/Vertigo, Archie, Image, and Webtoon on comics such as The Fox, Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, X-Men, Deadpool, Superman, Batman '66, Wonder Woman, and Godzilla. In addition, Haspiel is an accomplished playwright and Yaddo fellow. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Edanur Kuntman - Creator
Edanur Kuntman is a Turkish comic artist and creator based in New York. Her debut graphic novel, Tales From Behind The Window, was Eisner-nominated for Best Digital Comic. She loves experimenting with the possibilities of the comics medium. Through her work, she explores themes of culture, grief, and human connection, seeking to understand human nature better—and herself—through stories.

Gerald von Stoddard - Comic book artist
Gerald Von Stoddard began his love of comics and art as a young child and never looked back. Immortal Coil is his first self-published, creator-owned series. He is currently an interior artist on The Devil's Gate, The Haunted Box, Obsolete, and Hollowed Hills and illustrated the first comic story by the Comic Book Couples Counseling team of Brad & Lisa Gullickson for the anthology, Pots & Panels. He is also a cover artist for various indie creators all over the world! He lives in Florence, Italy, and Upstate New York.
Gideon Kendall - Comic book artist
GIDEON KENDALL is the Eisner-winning of Harvey Kurtzman’s Marley’s Ghost (Ablaze/ComiXology), Eric Powell’s Lester of the Lesser Gods (Dark Horse) and MegaGhost (Dark Horse). He is also the co-creator of the auto-bio Anthology WAIT…It Get’s Worse (With Doug Latino). His work has been featured in Heavy Metal and MAD Magazine. Other publishers include First Second Books, Z2 Comics (The Weird Al Yankovic and Cheech & Chong graphic novels), and The New York Times. Gideon teaches drawing at The School of Visual Arts in NYC.
Isaac Roller - Cartoonist
Isaac Roller is the author of a half dozen comics and graphic novels including Micropolis, Mushroom Moon and the one-man anthology Transmissions From Dreamtown. His work exists at the intersection of the bizarre and the mundane.
Jeremy Holt - Writer
Jeremy Holt is a non-binary author whose works include What If?…Venom, Gatsby, Made in Korea, Virtually Yours, Before Houdini, and Skip to the End. An original art page from After Houdini was acquired by The Houdini Museum of NYC, where it now hangs in its permanent collection. And Skip to the End was one of two works of fiction that The New York Times included in an in-depth expose titled Kurt Cobain: What to Read and Watch, 25 Years After the Nirvana Leader’s Death. They have received high praise from Brian K. Vaughan (Y the Last Man, Saga, Paper Girls) and NYT crossword constructor David Kwong. Originally from no place in particular, they’ve lived in Italy, Singapore, England, Norway, Texas, Vermont, and Brooklyn, before settling in Kingston, New York.
Joe Flood - Comic book artist
Joe Flood is an artist and author working in the field of comics and graphic novels. He is currently writing and drawing the 2nd installment of his three-part graphic novel series, Knee Deep. Joe has also created several installments for the First Second series, Science Comics that include; Sharks: Nature’s Perfect Hunter, Birds Of Prey: Terrifying Talons and MK Reed’s Dinosaurs: of Fossils and Feathers. Joe lives with his family in New York's Hudson Valley.
Jonathan Baylis - Comic book writer
Jonathan Baylis is the author of the autobiographical comic series, So Buttons. He crafts relatable slices of everyday life and pop culture in collaboration with groundbreaking artists, echoing the spirit of Harvey Pekar's American Splendor. With over a decade of storytelling, he has collected his stories into the self-published “So Buttons” series, of which there are currently fourteen issues and a coupl’a specials. He lives in the birth borough of his dad, Brooklyn, with his wife Ophira and their son Lucas.
Jonathan Marks Barravecchia - Illustrator
Jonathan Marks Barravecchia is an illustrator and painter of the groundbreaking Image Comics series, “Bear Pirate Viking Queen,” with Sean Lewis. In addition to creator-owned comics, Jonathan has worked with companies including Marvel, DC, IDW, Easton Press, & Centipede Press. His work has been recognized and published in multiple publications including
Spectrum & American Illustration, while showing paintings regularly at The Philippe Labaune Gallery in Chelsea, NY. Jonathan lives with his wife and daughter in Hudson Valley, NY.
Josh Neufeld - Comic book artist
Josh Neufeld is a Brooklyn-based cartoonist known for his nonfiction comics. His graphic novels include "A.D: New Orleans After the Deluge", "The Influencing Machine", and "A Few Perfect Hours." His comics have been published by the Chicago Sun-Times, the Boston Globe, The Journalist’s Resource, and The Nib, among many others. He has been a Knight-Wallace Fellow in Journalism, an A.C.A. Master Artist, and the recipient of a Xeric Award and a Graphic Medicine Award.
Justin Melkmann - Comic book artist
Justin Melkmann, has been creating and self publishing his own music oriented, autobiographical comic books for upwards of 20 years. Melkmann holds nothing back, leaves little to the imagination, and takes us deep into the delightfully dingy dives of New York City’s punk rock music scene circa right now.
Justine Veras - Illustrator, Graphic designer, Publisher, Zinester
Justine Veras (she/her) is a Dominican-American lesbian mixed media artist, zine-maker, graphic designer, and writer from the Hudson Valley, NY. Justine is empowered by self-expression in all its forms and likes to dabble in many different art mediums, though she mostly works digitally or with paper and pencil. She loves to create bright colorful work and she to push the boundaries between cute and serious.
Keith Haugen - Comic book artist
Keith Haugen, a former student of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic art, is an artist from the Albany, NY area. His published credits include: Jump #2 by New Pain Productions, Condemned #1 by AW Press (Fall 2025), Shriek Vol. 1 & 2 by FantaCo Enterprises, Ghost Investigator #1 by Spirited Comics, Hudson Valley Zombie Apocalypse GN by Eagle Press, Argo5 38 by Argo Comics, Quandary Magazine #1. Keith also has a self-publishing project: WTF (What The Freak) Comix Anthology. Along with his published credits, Keith has also produced numerous commissions, prints, and other assorted art.

Louis Petersen - Comic book artist
Louis Petersen, creator and owner of LP Comics Group - based out of Middletown NY. publisher of “Mason” and “Clowns” heavily involved in the local comics community. Will be debuting a new comic at this year’s KICx.
Mady G. - Illustrator
Mads 'Mady' G. is a cartoonist, illustrator, and multimedia artist. They have worked with a wide variety of clients and publishers including Oni Press and the candy Skittles with credits in comics series such as Invader Zim and Bendy And The Ink Machine. They currently create multimedia works in their studio in Kingston, NY.
Mahdi Khene - Comic book artist
Mahdi Khene is a New York City-based cartoonist and publisher. in 2021, he co-founded an indie publishing company called Zuperhero Comics. Along with having been a score composer for short films, he dove into the world of underground comics and released acclaimed titles such as "Steel Streets" and "Bootleg Spider-Man". You can find his work, art, and future projects on the Zuperhero Comics website.
Matthew Pleva - Illustrator
Born and raised in the shadows of Kingston’s long gone comic book and video stores, he continues to lurk from the darkness, constantly creating art with heavy focus and inspiration form the huge wealth of pop culture.
Michael Falotico - Illustrator
Michael has made art his entire life. Starting off as a young illustrator, he eventually moved on to music which he took very seriously and pursued professionally for almost a decade after dropping out of art college. Inevitably the mighty pen called his name once again, and he finally started dipping into one of his favorite mediums since childhood; comics. He's been submitting to anthologies and printing his own books for the last six years and is extremely excited to be tabling for the very first time ever at KICx. You can find most of his work in the San Francisco based horror anthology Vacuum Decay, where he was featured in the most recent issue.
Myron Lauzon - Comic book artist
Professional graphic artist, writer and Kubert School alumnus Myron Lauzon has been self-publishing under the Psychofyre Productions imprint since 2017, offering over twenty different original comic books, graphic novels and children’s books, as well as a plethora of original art and prints. He is also open for commissions.
New Paltz Zine Collective - Collective & Library
New Paltz Zine Collective is a student collective that provides SUNY New Paltz students with everything they need to create and distribute zines of their own. New Paltz Zine Collective collaborates with other campus clubs in workshops that promote student-led political action and community building, and encourages students to publish their works in the Zine Library located within Sojourner Truth Library.
Nick Bertozzi - Comic book artist

Nick has taught at the School of Visual Arts for 20 years and lives in NYC with his family.

Nick Carroll (they/he) is a queer-identified, autistic, arthritic,
interdisciplinary artist with a soft spot for alliteration and assonance.
His work explores identity, intimacy, frivolity, and language, often taking
shape as illustrations, zines, comics, and hand-bound books.
Peter Rostovsky - Painter, Writer, Graphic novelist
Peter Rostovsky is a Russian-born artist-writer, who has exhibited his fine art at museums and many private galleries. Meanwhile, his comics have appeared in Devil’s Due’s acclaimed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force and Talk Bernie to Me anthologies, and the Ringo Award-nominated Pandemix anthology, among other publications. His debut graphic novel, Damnation Diaries (Uncivilized Books, 2023), received a MoCCA Award of Excellence, praise in Publisher’s Weekly, Artforum, Hyperallergic, and other venues, was listed by the New York Public Library as one of 2023’s Best Comics for Adults, and was nominated for a Ringo Award in the Best Artist category.

Roxenne Contreras - Illustrator
Roxenne Contreras is a Latina illustrator based in Hudson Valley, NY. Roxenne loves all things whimsy and colorful, incorporating that into her illustration work. She enjoys using comics and zines as a narrative medium and experiments with various mediums. Roxenne is also a FIT illustration alumna. In her free time, Roxenne likes to visit museums and collect frog-related decor.
Sean Kelley - Comic book artist
Sean Kelley is a dad, husband, vet tech and cartoonist living in New York's Capital Region. He's been drawing comics sporadically - checks notes - for two decades, and his back hurts. But at least he has some nice cats.
Taku Ward - Comic book artist
Taku Ward is a cartoonist born and raised in New Jersey. He attended and graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a Bachelor's Degree in Cartooning. His comics have been published in anthologies such as Level Ground Comics' "The Greatest Hits: A Comic Mixtape," Chidrawgo's "I Like Robots," and The Nib's "Cities" issue. Currently, Taku has been showcasing his art in a variety of conventions, such as BICS and MICE, working on his children's book portfolio, and is transforming his one-shot, "The Tale of One-Inch Bozo," into a series.
UM Studios - Comic book writer
Uni Bowen and Monique Dixon have been close friends since their middle school days and have since transformed their shared passion for creativity into an impressive collaboration. Together, they've created a world that transports its audience to another realm. Their first installment, Kastor: From the Bronx to the Underworld, is a thrilling, dark, vibrant world filled with imaginative characters and intricate details. They have poured their hearts and souls into this project, and it shows in every aspect of their work. Bowen and Dixon's goal is to provide their audience with an escape from reality while creating a familiar and relatable world. It's no wonder their work has gained a loyal following, and we can't wait to see what they come up with next.
William Ibañez - Comic book artist
William Keops Ibañez moved to New York City from Texas in 2001 to attend the School of Visual Arts from which he got a B.F.A in illustration. In 2007 he attended the Art Institute of New York and earned his Associates in graphic design. His comic book work includes Blazing Quantum, True Tales from La Frontera; and Codex of the Jaguar. His work has been featured on sites such as CBR, and the podcast The Comics Alternative.
